this one's for the boys
Stumped trying to find a gift for your boyfriend? or maybe your brother? Here's a few things I found while trying to find a perfect gift for Ryan this christmas. I didn't end up getting any of these things. I decided to get him something that he's wanted for a long time now. I'll show you after he opens his present. I admit that the cheese of the month club was kinda for me though. haha.
What are you getting your man this christmas?
Leica d-lux 5, Temple bags, Monogrammed Cocktail Shaker, Teroforma Whiskey Stones, Lacoste Sneakers, Graham Withers Bow Ties , Dean and Deluca cheese of the month club

Springtime in December
A few things I've been eyeing that sorta caught my eye recently. To my surprise, they all seem to have a color scheme. spring colors! Am I really already wanting spring? haha. My favorite time of year is christmas but I am a sucker for the spring color palette, thats for sure! One of my favorite colors is mint. Maybe its because my favorite ice cream is mint chip. nom nom!
I'm off in a few days to go visit family in northern california. So excited to get away. I will be back with lots of pictures.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
xx

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
So we went to a christmas tree farm last weekend to try to cut down our own tree but alas, the only ones you could cut down were the huge douglas trees. Our place is way too small for it so we opted for a beautiful Noble one. All of our ornaments are very special because Ryan's mom has been collecting an ornament each christmas since his very first christmas. She gave us all of his ornaments when we got married to continue the tradition and add an ornament each year. One of my favorites is the batman one. Its so cool! I really love our tree. It has character and is full of love and memories. I am so happy to be able to spend christmas with both families this year.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Black Swan
Watched Black Swan this weekend and I LOVED it. The costumes were made by Rodarte and were really intricate and beautiful. Natalie Portman was so good in it! I also watched an interview with her on Charlie Rose with director Darren Aronofsky which made me really respect her dedication in the extensive training she went through to even have a physique of a ballet dancer then more to learn all the choreography and move like an actual ballet dancer. She didn't entirely do all the dancing but what she did portray she looked so graceful and elegant. Bravo to Natalie and Darren. A great film.

the good the bad the ugly
I got this poncho cape last fall and its been collecting dust in the back of my closet. I refound it and am so happy that I just happened to do a little cleaning in the closet. I wore it a few weeks ago and Ryan said it totally looked like Clint Eastwood. I didnt know what he meant till he showed me a picture of Clint in The Good The Bad The Ugly. So, here is my outfit inspired by one of the best cowboy movies ever. And speaking of westerns... the new Cohen Brothers movie, True Grit looks so amazing. I can't wait to see it. Oh how I love Jeff Bridges.

Friendsgiving 2010
Just a few photos I snapped from our thanksgiving dinner with friends. Boy, it was hard work cooking all those dishes but it was well worth it! Everything turned out amazing and we all had such a great time. After dinner we climbed up onto the roof for some hot ciders by the fire then celebrated with sparklers!
Already looking forward to next years thanksgiving ;)
