Stripes

Hate to jump on the whole stripes band wagon but, I am mainly attracted to them in the sailor style kind of way.  It reminds me of summers on the beach, bbqs, smores...mmm... and how my hair always gets blown in my face from the salty sea breeze.  Been spotting Alexa Chung wearing it the way I would.  She's got such a throw it on/ effortless/ casual style.  I like that her outfits are simple, classic and comfy looking.  Anyway, here's a few finds I've dug up online that I would like to purchase.
Uploaded some Photos of my weekend.

Wish list: A.P.C. & Agnes b

Browsing online shopping is dangerous.  Fortunate for me, I do not own a credit card otherwise I would probably buy things and rack up a pretty high bill.  I keep coming across a.p.c.'s stuff everywhere I try to search for the styles I want.  It's just that they execute the looks so well that I've found myself trying to justify spending that much money.  Then I get a jolt of reality and get even more determined to just make my own versions of these styles.  Time to bust out the ol Pattern making books and start drafting.

A Camp: Nina Persson

I have been a long time Cardigans fan.  Ive always wanted to see them play but alas, they never come to the states. Nina Persson's voice is dreamy but has also an edge to it! Anyway, I found out that her solo project called A Camp is playing at the Troubadour next month!  I am so intrigued by Swedish culture, their history and heritage. Their interpretation of fashion is so cute! (afterall, H&M originated there) I spent way too much money while on my visit a few years back and it definantly made me want to see and explore more of Sweden.  Here are a few pics of Nina, The Cardigans and a video of her taking us out on her hometown.  If you love learning about different cultures and places, take a look and see how secluded her town really was.  The Cardigans have come a long way!

Sandals

I am in love with these opening ceremony sandals but they are waaaaay out of my price range.  I have found a few alternatives that are similar in style.  After a week of searching I found some (to my surprise) from Target! They were a fraction of how much the opening ceremony's were...cept not as cute and I am sure the quality is not nearly as good but whatcha gonna do when your broke? hehe.  Anyway, the first one is the opening ceremony one and the black one right below that is the one from Target.

Summer of Chambray

I love a good Chambray. I actually made my first skirt out of it (first photo pictured) ! I love how light weight it is.  Here is the skirt I made along with other Chambray outfits that I adore.  Contemplating which one to make next...
Garments are from: Built By Wendy, UO, Steve Alan, A.P.C., French Connection, J. Crew, Levis
