Aubin & Wills

aubinandwills

I stumbled upon this amazing spring collection from Aubin & Wills. I love the effortless styling and european flair. It features adorable model, Irina Lazareanu & Alex James of Blur. Seeing all these spring collections makes me anxious to shed these winter layers of clothing. Its a bit chilly still so until then, I'll be dreaming up cute outfits made up of light cotton dresses, hats and cute short numbers exposing my bare legs to the sunlight! haha *sigh* I am especially excited to gather some outfits for my anniversary trip to hawaii. I can't believe its already been 3 years since we tied the knot. Woooah. This time around we've invited a handful of our closest friends to come with us to celebrate and hang out with us in hawaii. I am counting down the days!

In other news, my brother's band, FIDLAR has been getting a ton of press. If you like rowdy punk music and like to party, they will make you want to mosh. Here is the latest video of them by VICE.

Madewell Spring 2012

madewell2012

Hey! ugh. I can't believe its been such a long time since I've posted! I have butt loads of photos from my trip to northern California on thanksgiving and my trip to Hawaii and other fun things to fill you in on. Perhaps in another post? Today I'm posting up one of my favorite "go to" lines, Madewell. Let's face it, we can't all afford to shop at high end boutiques and I've had my fair share of disturbingly bad quality from the likes of H&M and forever 21. So where do you go to get your everyday basics and outfits dressy enough for work? MADEWELL. I used to scavenger the sale racks at J Crew but those days are over for me as Madewell has definitely filled the void. Now, if you go to online store, don't let the prices scare you. My advice to you is to be patient and wait for things to go on sale. They have amazing and affordable sales. The key to shopping at Madewell is persistence. I check their website almost everyday and when I see something on sale, I drive to the nearest one and pick it up. Their shoes are all made in Italy with the best leathers and lasts forever. I have 5 pairs of their shoes now and I still wear them to death. I say go for quality and not quantity, ladies.
Here is their spring line. I am really loving the pops of colors throughout the collection. I tend to stay away from bright colors but this collection almost makes me want to go out of my comfort zone and at least try them on, no? who knows, I might even try a crazy print or two...

Have a great weekend, guys!

Rebecca Taylor x Peace Over Violence

RebeccaTaylor
some of my favorites from Rebecca Taylor
Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you all know about this amazing opportunity called Community Collection. A designer is paired up with a charity and 20% of the sale proceeds will go to them to help their cause. This is such a great way to give back while shopping from your favorite designers. Among the designers are Rebecca Taylor, Helmut Lang, Elizabeth and James, Lulu Frost, Clare Vivier and much more.
I am so excited to announce that starting today, Peace Over Violence is paired up with Rebecca Taylor! Peace Over Violence is a non profit organization that aims to prevent sexual, domestic and interpersonal violence within families and within the community. I feel that it's important to raise awareness of warning signs that can prevent violence within your home and relationships. Their cause is important and has helped many people over the years. There are so many ways to show support and this is such an easy way to do it, guys. Shopping that benefits a non profit that helps others? It's seriously a no brainer.

Jefferson Park

pink polka dots

It's been such a long time since I've posted a style post! My apologies. I am such an awkward duck in front of the camera but I suppose that's just who I am and so, I just embrace it! I found this dress on a whim while shopping a prop for another shoot. I've been into polka dots as you know from my previous post so, imagine my excitement when I came across this beauty of a dress...And it fit like a glove. No alterations. So, here you have it. My favorite new dress. This outfit is inspired by my love for the 60s. I love wiggle dresses in general. They are sexy without revealing too much. xx

chloe kids!

chloe childrenswear

I have been doing so much research for a new project and I came across this cute Chloe childrenswear line. I usually don't post childrenswear but come on, this is just too cute! I mean look at that little coat. I am looking forward to dressing my little one, one day. Probably won't be doing Chloe but Ralph Lauren, Gap kids and have you seen Zara's line? absolutely adorable! Hope you are having a great week. I am still recovering from a crazy weekend. I am looking forward to taking it easy this weekend and watching The Rum Diary, based off a book by Hunter S. Thompson. I am hoping it does the book justice. Not a real big fan of Johnny Depp lately. Have any of you seen the movie yet? How is it?

Connect the dots

polka dots
1, 2, 3,4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Going nuts over these adorable pastel polka dots I've seen popping up everywhere these days. I know its not the most "grown up" print but I can't help it! Something inside makes me happy to see these little dots dancing all about on these items. Call me youthful! I'll never grow up. I'll always be that girl that can't stop wearing those peter pan collared dresses. haha!
Is there a print that does that do you?
Hope you are having a great week. I've been having some kind of weird stomach issues this week. I hope they go away soon.

the camping life

camping life: wish list

This summer, we really took advantage of the weather and went on a few camping trips. We went to Joshua tree twice and Yosemite National Park. It was such an amazing experience! There's just something so peaceful and serene about being in the middle of nowhere and being surrounded by nature. I really enjoyed just walking around and taking photos. We've gotten better at packing for camping and invested in some equipment that makes it 1000 better. Here are a few items that I would love to splurge on for further camping trips. Hope you all are having a great week! What are your weekend plans? I am going to be attending a friend's wedding where there will be about 5 people there. Such a low key thing and I love it. It will be amazing! Can't wait to celebrate.

Masscob// Fall 2011

Masscob: Fall 2011

I'm afraid that fall weather hasn't quite hit us in California. I can't wait till it gets chilly enough to wear my new coat. Loving this collection by Masscob, a spanish line. Wish it was gonna get cold enough to wear that Lambskin Coat! I have to admit that I've been on a hunt for them since I saw this beautiful model in New York wearing one while we were out during fashion week. Oh well, guess that's the difference between California and New York. ugh. not being able to wear loads of cute winter clothes...
Speaking of New York, my brother's band, FIDLAR is there for CMJ. If you are around, there is a handful of free shows. Check them out!

Can't believe its only wednesday. Hurry up, weekend.

Fall trends

street style trends: fall 2011

all images from stockholm street style

Here are just a few street fall trends that have caught my eye as of late. I embrace the over sized sweater look. I got one from a friend for my birthday and its an amazing shade of red. Its comfy, its big and looks great with any pair of jeans! The next look I love is the play on this cobalt blue shade. I don't usually wear too much color but this shade is really calling my name for some reason. I also love how she has coordinated her hat, dress and tights with the same color. Bob hair cuts have really been on my mind as of late, only because my hair is down to my hips now and I desperately need to cut it. I probably wont go this short but I'd like to daydream about it and what type of outfits would compliment it. This girl looks absolutely adorable. What do you think? Lastly, leather mini skirts are on trend this season. I run into them everywhere these days. Zara has a pretty cute one that I might have to splurge on. We will see if I can brave my legs in the up coming cooler weather.

Hope your having a great day.
